In my first year at AVCS, I was researching resources to help make the book we were reading (Night by Elie Wiesel) more engaging and impactful to students. I came across this documentary (click the picture to go to the video) and thought it would be nice one to show my class. My theatre projects led me to Lake Forest Senior Living Community as they wanted a murder mystery to come into the facility. On the wall, I saw a poster for this documentary. I smiled and said, "I was just researching this documentary for my class." The staff told me that Dr. Munk lived there and that they would arrange for me to meet him. A whirlwind of meetings ensued leading to Dr. Munk, the writer/narrator, and producer to come to AVCS to speak to the whole school. Students watched the documentary before the Q&A with the creative team and Dr. Munk.
